The Go&Learn project establishes an international catalog of company visits linked to learning content.

The catalog adds value to the professional growth of students and employees. The goal is to promote knowledge exchange between employees, experts, young entrepreneurs and students through (international) company visits. The project is implemented in Belgium by KAHO Sint-Lieven, Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel and VOKA/ Kamer van Koophandel Oost-Vlaanderen.

Company visit content

A company visit includes, on the one hand, a presentation of the company and a tour. On the other hand, a thematic seminar is organized in which topics such as the mission of the organization, the company vision, SWOT analysis, HRM policy, logistical planning, etc. are explored in depth. The seminar is supervised by an expert or lecturer from the school, together with an expert from the company. The dialogue between student, expert and lecturer is central to this.

Circuits

The company visits will be grouped by theme and clustered into circuits of 5 to 6 company visits over a period of several days. The themes of the company visits thus serve as a common thread throughout a circuit. The first two circuits are currently being worked out, with the following themes: (1) Food circuit: Young entrepreneurs and students are introduced to entrepreneurship in their own country or abroad, (2) Logistics circuit: Experts delve into contemporary logistics themes, for example 'Track & Trace'. Further thematic circuits will be developed and offered in the future.

What does this mean for the host company?

The host company hosts a group at least once a year. The company visit includes a presentation of the company followed by a tour. The thematic seminar is determined by mutual agreement with the host company and fitted into a circuit. The visit lasts approximately half a day. If the organization wishes, it can be shorter or longer. Registrations, transportation, any interpreter, are not the responsibility of the host company. The size of the groups is determined by mutual agreement and can range from 5 to 25 people.

Added value

Participation leads to knowledge enrichment through interaction with experts, students and young entrepreneurs. The company becomes a partner of KAHO/HUB, allowing it to take advantage of our opportunities related to internships, research projects, bachelor's theses and international exchange. The company is also introduced to (inter)national (final year) students and young entrepreneurs. This makes the company interesting as a future employer or cooperation partner. The project offers European networking opportunities with companies from similar sectors, as it will be included in an international catalog presenting all participating companies.
