Activate accounts for Staff
You will receive an e-mail message for activating your Odisee account. That email message will contain your account name and your temporary password.
Now follow the steps below to activate your account.
Step 1
Surf to https://portal.office.com. You will arrive at a login page from Microsoft.
Step 2
Enter your Odisee email address and click Next.
Step 3
You will be redirected to a Odisee login page.
Enter your temporary password here and click Log In.
Step 4
You will now be notified that more information is needed to keep your account secure and complete the activation process.
Choose Next.
Step 5
Before you continue with this step:
To register your security info successfully you need the 'Microsoft Authenticator' app
. It's best to install this on your smartphone right now so that the tutorial below can be followed smoothly.
Do you have an Android smartphone? Then you can find the app on the Google Play Store: Microsoft Authenticator app for Android
Do you have an Apple smartphone? Then you can find the app on the Apple App Store: Microsoft Authenticator app for iOS
Step 6
You will get another notification that you need the 'Microsoft Authenticator' app, choose 'Next'.
Without this app, you can't proceed. See step 5 to install it.
You will get another notification that the registration process in the 'Microsoft Authenticator' app will start.
Choose 'Next' again here.
Step 7
- You open the Authenticator app on your smartphone and choose 'Add an account'
- On the next screen you choose 'Scan a QR code'
- You now scan the QR code that is on your computer screen with the app on your smartphone, the account is added to the Authenticator app and you choose 'Next' in your web browser on your computer.
Step 8
You will now see the following window with a random number on it on your computer. At the same time, a request is sent to the app on your smartphone.
You will have to enter this number on your smartphone or the registration cannot be completed.
Step 9
If you approved the request in the app on your smartphone, you will now see a confirmation on your PC that the request approved.
Step 10
You have now linked the app on your smartphone to your account and have registered security info needed to complete the account activation process.
You can now start using this method as a 2nd factor when logging in.
Now that the security info has been successfully registered you choose 'Ready'
Step 11
Finally, you have to set a new password.
At 'Current password' choose your temporary password that you received by email.
After this you click on Sign in.
Step 12
You arrived at https://portal.office.com.
. Your account has been successfully activated!
