Psychological counseling
Do you suffer from fear of failure or procrastination? Do you want to improve your study method and/or study planning? Or do you just want to come and talk about a personal problem? You can always contact the student psychologist at your campus for advice and support. All free of charge. Students with a disability can contact the disability officer
Study skills sessions
Do you find the switch from high school to college difficult? Is studying in your first year not going as smoothly as you hoped, or do you not know 'how to start'?
In the various sessions on study skills the student psychologists will give you a head start.
Personal counseling
Your college days are usually the best time of your life. But sometimes you are confronted with problems that more or less seriously hinder your study progress.
These may be study-related problems: you suffer from fear of failure or exam stress, you have doubts about whether you can cope with your studies, you keep putting off studying, you don't know how to go about it, you doubt whether you have made the right (study) choice.... But personal or relationship problems can also affect your studies: you're not sure whether you're gay, straight or bi, you have a fight with your parents or your lover, you're lonely, you no longer see the meaning of life, you're shy, you don't feel good about yourself, you use too much alcohol or drugs, you're worried that you're pregnant (or that your girlfriend is pregnant), you're ill ...
Online and external services
Through online sessions, the student psychologists explain study methods and planning, ways to deal with procrastination or fear of failure, and how to best prepare for exams.
You will also find an overview of external organisations with information and training courses on various subjects.
Moodspace
MoodSpace is an online platform for students. It is full of reliable information, tips and self-help to cope with emotional problems and to study (spring) powerfully.
