Admission requirements for registration with a non-Flemish diploma
If your secondary school diploma was awarded by a secondary school outside the Flemish Community, you need to apply for admission before you can register for the Bachelor of Business Management programme.
Note:
- If you graduated from a secondary school in the Flemish Community, you can start your registration here.
- If you are applying for a Dutch-taught programme, other admission requirements apply.
Academic requirements
- Students with a diploma of secondary education obtained in a country which ratified the Lisbon Recognition Convention* are admitted if the obtained diploma provides access to higher education in the country concerned.
- Students with a secondary school diploma obtained in a country that did not ratify the Lisbon Recognition Convention* can be admitted if the diploma in question provides access to equivalent higher education in the country concerned. (The admission may depend on an additional assessment test, to determine if you have the competences required for the BBM programme.)
- To assess students’ diplomas, we make use of international recognition databases, such as UK ENIC, Nuffic NL.
If after this assessment it is still unclear whether your secondary school diploma grants access to (equivalent) higher education in the country concerned, we can request additional documentation which confirms this (i.e. an admission letter by a recognised institution of higher education, transcripts of academic records from a recognised institution of higher education, results of national entrance examinations, a declaration of national or regional education authorities or a declaration by the institution which delivered your secondary school diploma.) - If your secondary school diploma was delivered in the Netherlands, you meet our admission requirements if you obtained: a VWO- diploma, or a HAVO diploma + a certificate of a successfully completed “propedeuse year”, or an MBO-4 diploma.
- Applicants who have been awarded the General Certificate of Education (GCE) are eligible for admission if they can prove they have passed at least 3 A Level subjects with a grade C or above.
